Artist Spotlight: Alles Anders on Reimagining Formula 1 Through Art

Formula 1 has always been more than just a sport. It’s atmosphere, history, emotion, and spectacle — and for visual artist Alles Anders, it’s also an endless source of artistic inspiration.

I first came across his work online and was immediately drawn to the way he reimagines Formula 1 beyond the cars themselves. Through colour, composition, and atmosphere, his pieces capture the emotion of racing — from the glamour of Monaco to iconic grand prixs and legendary drivers — in a way that feels both contemporary and deeply personal.

Known for his vibrant, expressive interpretations of Formula 1 moments, Alles Anders has carved out a distinctive place at the intersection of motorsport and contemporary art. His work moves away from traditional on-track depictions, focusing instead on perspective, mood, and storytelling.

As part of The Grand Prix Life Holiday Edit, I spoke with Alles Anders about how Monaco first inspired his motorsport artwork, his creative process, and the pieces he believes make the perfect collector’s gift.

From Monaco to Canvas: How It All Began

Alles Anders’ entry into motorsport art began with one place: Monaco.

“I really started creating motorsport art when I became fascinated with the Monaco Grand Prix,” he explains. “I loved the vibe and the scenery, and it inspired me to explore the race from a fresh angle and create my own perspective through art.”

That atmosphere — the tight streets, the history, the glamour — became the foundation for what would eventually grow into his most recognisable body of work.

The F1 Series: Moving Beyond the Cars

His Formula 1 series gained international attention after the release of his first Senna ‘King of Monaco’ piece — a turning point that shaped everything that followed.

“It started with the first Senna King of Monaco piece,” he says.

“From there I got more inspired by the great amount of footage. Slowly I combined scenery with playfulness and tried to create my own perspective — away from the classic approach of just showing the cars.”

This philosophy — prioritising atmosphere over mechanics — is what makes his work stand out in the motorsport art space.

Inside His Creative Process

Unlike artists who begin with rigid plans, Alles Anders’ work evolves organically.

“Mostly I start with a sketch or idea,” he explains.

“From there I mix images and references, then paint directly on the canvas. It starts with the first layers of colour, and from there I go into details and add elements.”

The process, he says, is fluid rather than fixed.

“The painting is never dialed in — it’s more a process, and the result gets created in the action. Every painting is unique. I like to create a positive palette of colours and a good atmosphere.”

That spontaneity is part of what gives each piece its energy.

Choosing Drivers and Moments

When it comes to deciding what to paint, Alles Anders doesn’t follow trends or headlines.

“That’s mostly totally free,” he says.

“I never chase the hype. I go totally from what I like at the moment.”

This intuitive approach allows his work to feel timeless rather than reactive — rooted in personal fascination rather than social media cycles.

Collectors, Spaces, and Where His Art Lives

Alles Anders places particular value on original works and the environments they inhabit.

“I have a few collectors that really appreciate the original, and that makes me very happy,” he shares.

“An original painting with its texture and the right framing can change a room so much. You can really feel the details and the craft.”

His work currently hangs at The Jersey Shore Car Club in New Jersey — a space dedicated to automotive collectors and enthusiasts.

“Places like this, for car lovers and collectors, feel like the perfect home for my work.”

The Perfect Holiday Gift: His Personal Pick

When asked which piece he’d recommend as a first Alles Anders artwork — especially as a holiday gift — his answer is immediate.

“My all-time favourite is Leclerc Monaco Grand Prix,” he says.

“I never expected such great feedback, but people really love it.”

“It has the perfect shape, colour combination — simple, bold, positive, epic.”

It’s a piece that encapsulates everything his work stands for.

Exhibiting During Monaco Grand Prix Week

Exhibiting during Monaco GP week marked a significant milestone in his career.

“I’m completely happy,” he says. “And we’re looking forward to bigger exhibitions and getting more into real paddock environments.”

He credits the Monaco connection as a natural fit for his work, and highlights the role of art dealer Luc Sarraf, who helped bring his pieces to new audiences in the region.

What’s Next for Alles Anders

Looking ahead, Alles Anders continues to expand internationally.

“I currently have an exhibition at the Jersey Shore Car Club in New Jersey,” he shares. “The space is so impressive, and I’m very happy to have my works exhibited there.”

For collectors and F1 fans alike, it’s just the beginning.
